„Endings = Beginnings“ is the name of the newest album of the quartet, which was released on 09 December 2022 - an encouraging credo that sometimes seems elusive in the moment of change. In 13 songs that breathe the spirit of the times, Flash Forward repeatedly poses the question of how gloomy circumstances challenge us, what acceptance of difficult situations requires, and how not to lose sight of the next chapter in uncertain times.
It couldn‘t be more fitting that Flash Forward would take this discussion of new beginnings to their sixth album with outrageously fresh sonic repertoire: Never before has the band turned the „pop“ in „pop-punk“ inside out as confidently and innovatively as on „Endings = Beginnings,“ while simultaneously embedding it in an alternative sound that no longer needs to hide from international role models. It‘s a record that weaves brilliant synthesizers around the most stirring moments of You Me At Six and celebrates the unfailing anthems of The Hunna with the most sonic of bows.
When Flash Forward wrote their 2019 album Golden Rust, their life situation could hardly be more opposite than when they were making their current record. Recorded breakneck in the midst of a marathon tour alongside Palaye Royal, Enter Shikari, Deaf Havana and To The Rats And Wolves, the album logically also held as a basic conflict the measureless overload in a relentless music industry and a fast-paced society. However, the band managed to place themselves on the 61st place of the German charts with „Golden Rust“ and since then they have completed many successful tours and festival appearances.
Three years and a pandemic later, FLASH FORWARD had their best years in the band's history to date in 2022 and 2023, celebrating further successes in front of thousands of fans with appearances at major festivals such as Hurricane, Southside and Highfield. The sold out hometown concert with an audience of over 500 on 9 December 2023 at Turock/Essen and a support tour for Emil Bulls are further recent highlights.

„Endings = Beginnings“ heißt das aktuelle Album des Quartetts aus NRW, das am im Dezember 2022 erschienen ist – ein mutmachendes Credo, das im Moment der Veränderung manchmal schwer greifbar zu sein scheint. In 13 den Zeitgeist atmenden Songs stellen FLASH FORWARD immer wieder die Frage, wie düstere Umstände uns herausfordern, was die Akzeptanz schwieriger Situationen erfordert und wie man in ungewissen Zeiten nicht den Blick für das nächste Kapitel verliert.

Als FLASH FORWARD 2019 ihr Album „Golden Rust“ schrieben, konnte ihre Lebenssituation kaum gegensätzlicher sein als beim Entstehen ihrer aktuellen Platte. Halsbrecherisch inmitten eines Tourmarathons an der Seite von Palaye Royal, Enter Shikari, Deaf Havana und To The Rats And Wolves aufgenommen, barg das Album als einen Grundkonflikt folgerichtig auch die maßlose Überforderung in einer unbarmherzigen Musikbranche und einer schnelllebigen Gesellschaft. Dabei hat es die Band aber geschafft sich mit „Golden Rust“ auf dem 61. Platz der deutschen Charts zu platzieren und seitdem viele erfolgreiche Touren und Festivalauftritte absolviert.
Drei Jahre und eine Pandemie später verzeichneten FLASH FORWARD 2022 und 2023 ihre bisher besten Jahre in der Bandgeschichte und konnten mit Auftritten bei Major-Festivals wie dem Hurricane, Southside und Highfield weitere Erfolge vor tausenden Fans feiern. Das ausverkaufte Jahresabschlusskonzert mit über 500 Zuschauern am 9. Dezember 2023 im Turock/Essen und eine Support-Tour für die Emil Bulls markieren zuletzt weitere Highlights.
